Description

Product category – Hydrocoll is a fast absorbent hydrocolloid dressing.

Mechanism Of Action – Hydrocoll sterile, self-adhesive hydrocolloid wound dressing that features a bevelled edge for secure adhesion to surrounding skin. Hydrocoll® forms a soft gel when in contact with wound fluid, producing a moist wound environment suitable for autolytic debridement and protection of granulating tissue.

Recommended use– Hydrocoll® is a thin, flexible material for conformability. It can be removed painlessly and without leaving residue. It comes in designed shapes for problem free application in difficult areas.

Regime – Hydrocoll®  can remain on a wound for up to 5 days depending on the level of exudate.

Precautions – If clinical signs of infection are present Hydrocoll®  should not be used. Dressing should not be used on individuals who are sensitive to or who have had an allergic reaction to hydrocolloid dressings.
